Rofirein

Bericht door hellspawn » 08-02-2011 22:04

•Aliases: The All-Seeing, Lord Protector
•Race: Dragon
•Worshippers: Rofirein does not forsake any race, but he is predominantly worshipped by Humans.
•Governs: Guidance, Law, Order, Protection
•Mantras: Honest, Ordered, Preserving, Public

You are a paragon of virtue and honor. Dedicate your life to justice, honor, and the pursuit of law and order. Hold the law above all else at any cost, even if this means bringing loved ones or friends to justice. Without the order of law, chaos would reign and the world would descend into dark times where Pyrtechon would thrive. Extend honor to all--even your foes. Aid others whenever and wherever possible as long as it is in accordance with the law and does not make way for acts of evil. The common people are the strongest force in bringing order and prosperity to all. We must protect them.

Clergy Attire

Bericht door hellspawn » 08-02-2011 22:05

Clerics of Rofirein favor swords, especially bastard swords, over bludgeoning weapons, believing that a sharp blade metes the swiftest and most painless justice. They are often seen in full-plate armor, favoring it along with a large shield bearing the symbol of Rofirein. Any armor that provides maximum protection to the wearer is preferred. These men and women of faith often go into places that others fear to tread bringing law and order with them. It is important that they can defend themselves, so they can properly defend others.

Hierarchy

Bericht door hellspawn » 08-02-2011 22:06

The clergy of Rofirein have a distinct hierarchy, as would be expected by a Church of Law. They are often referred to as the advocates of the common people and have a strong following among the general populace in many nations.

Elections and Organizations

Golden Voice of Justice, His Holy Honor Barvanth Hiramun III
Barvanth III has been the current Golden Voice of the faith of Rofirein since his acceptance of the office 40 years ago at the last Meeting of the Voices. Now in his late 80's, Barvanth was until recently buoyant in mind, body, and spirit. That was until General Lord Rael attacked and captured Prantz and established his own set of laws. The Golden Voice of Justice had been summoned to the throne room of the late King Wayland to meet with the new ruler and left that day a broken man. Since then, Barvanth has retreated to his private chapel in prayer and solitude, leaving those beneath him to deal with the current situation in Prantz. With no clear direction, he has been praying for guidance from his benefactor. Barvanth had been highly respected during his life as one of the best lawmakers of his era. The former king had often turned to Barvanth to adjudicate on matters of law and also disputes for his kingdom. Many considered the voice of Barvanth to be the direct translation of the justice of Rofirein. However, Barvanth's true genius lay in his ability to manipulate words and people to desired ends. While his goals were always in service to the Great Dragon, there were those within the church that felt that Barvanth's approach took much of the spirituality out of the faith in Rofirein and replaced it with too much clinical adherence to tenants of the faith. His belief was that the church was there to guide people's minds and approaches to following the laws of the Lord Protector through strict guidelines and principles of worship.
Hence, one of the most challenging documents and Barvanth's legacy to the faith is the Scale of Justice, a 300-page canon of church law dictating to the clergy, laypeople, and faithful on how they practice worship of Rofirein. It has been much criticised by a faction of Rofireinites who believe in a more spiritual and freer approach to faith than the current leadership advocates. His goal in producing this work was to demonstrate that through law and order comes peace and prosperity for all. Barvanth has never been shy of leading from the front and initiating unrest in lands controlled by leaders who do not adhere to the Charter of Laws. In this, he is a firm believer in the power of the people and the need and want for a better society over the evil practices of despotism and tyranny.

Keeper of the Lore of Gold, High Justiciar Gareth Lemont
This illustrious position is considered by many to be equal to if not more important than the Golden Voice of Justice and is a lifelong position decided unanimously by the Golden Voice and the Golden Triune. The Keeper of the Lore of Gold is responsible for the collating, recording, and protecting of the histories of the Order of Rofirein. This person has the power of the church at their command in carrying out their duty and the team of clergy members assigned to this office to serve under the Keeper of the Lore of Gold. These men and women are often willing to sacrifice their lives to protect the holy tomes and books under their care. Those serving the Keeper swear a deeply binding oath to protect the Lore of Gold in every circumstance, and those failing in their duty are sent to remote monasteries to pray in solitude for the rest of their life. Many of those in service to this office are mages and clerics who favor the pursuit and maintenance of documentation and official records, including the local census. These people are also primarily responsible for all logistical matters of a temple and hold the rank of lorekeepers. Senior members of the Keepers Office are simply called senior lorekeepers.

•Charter of Laws
The single most important duty of the Keeper's office is the protection of the sacred relic the Charter of Laws. Written in the days of Emperor Raklin Diamoniar, it is one of the most powerful and influential items in the history of the Rofirenite church. One could easily say that this single unique item is responsible for the power and position the church holds today in the eyes of the world. It is always kept in extensive magical wards and attended by the most loyal and trusted temple guardians.

Golden Triune, Voices of Justice: Their Honors Siann O'Mally, Martyn Pelk, Horton Hiramun
The Golden Triune are members of the clergy who have shown long and noteworthy continuous service to Rofirein as well as the ability to be discerning, politic, and influential. Members of the Golden Triune serve until they pass away, retire, step down, or are removed from the position. Being removed from the position can only take place at a Meeting of the Voices and two of the triune must vote out the third member and have the support of the Golden Voice of Justice to do so. The same procedure is used to elect a new Voice of Justice from the ranks of clergy. Applicants send forth their request for the position with their references and supporters included on the application. This is then voted on by the remaining Voices and the Golden Voice. No layperson can become a Voice of Justice. The Golden Triune is made up of the following individuals:

•Siann O'Mally is a woman in her late 60's with very strong opinions and is often at odds with Barvanth. However, she is a shrewd and intelligent lawmaker and out of many members of the clergy at the cathedral in Prantz, she has been the only one to meet with Lord Rael openly and discuss the upkeep of his laws.
•Martyn Pelk is perhaps the most respected man within the cathedral in Prantz. His quiet, softly spoken manner and genuine love for the people of Prantz stand him in good stead. Unfortunately for Martyn, he lacks support within the upper ranks of clergy to see him advance any further at this stage.
•Horton Hiramun is the brother of Barvanth. Many claim he is there solely by direct intervention of Barvanth. Horton is in his late 50's and has held a string of positions in churches across Alindor, many of which ran out of funds and were forced to receive monetary concessions from the cathedral in Prantz. Investigations were undertaken but did not establish any direct fault. However, he lives a hidden but opulent lifestyle. Siann often uses this leverage to push Horton in directions she wants him to go.
High Warden of the Principium, High Justiciar Ordolf Wolvinstar
Almost as powerful as the Keeper and yet separate in power, is the High Warden of the Principium. Followers of Rofirein are called to serve the law in the highest regard. Thus, as advocates of the law, they themselves must be able to hold themselves against the toughest criticism and scrutiny. The Office of Principium ensures that the law is the power that acts in the capacity of a watchdog keeping the faithful constantly aware that they must continually strive for justice, order, and adherence to the ideals set out in the Charter of Laws and by Rofirien himself. The faithful need to remain watchful, because with the passive or active consent of the societies among which there is little or no order or equality of the law, justice and injustice are whatever those allowed to administer them determine them to be. So long as ignorance, envy, greed, desire and grasp of power, wars being waged under the aegis of the worlds separate leaders, and gods who cast their shadows upon the world, there is serious question as to the evolution of justice toward a greater good.

This office is first and foremost concerned that members of the faith are always held in the highest regard and in turn hold to the principals and values that Rofirein elicits. Cases of fraud, corruption, and the likes both within and from outside the order are dealt with swiftly and harshly. The members of this office tend to wear uniforms of black and gold trim to set them apart from the rest of the faith. These are the men and women whose primary task is to ensure the integrity of the church and that its role in the world remains unassailable. This office is also responsible for hearing appeals from marshalls who had been interfered with in carrying out their own duties. It's quite normal for clergy members to feel very nervous around these men and women who in all respects are almost considered zealots in their vision of the church. They are officially called wardens.

High Justiciars -- Judges
Clergy given the rank of high justiciar of their temple are highly respected among the laypeople and clergy attending them. They tend also to be responsible for overseeing the adjudicating and interpreting of law and dispensing justice in league with local forces for the area in which they serve. High justiciar's are appointed as required by the Golden Triune. There are never more than nine high justiciar's at any given time; the number of judges a direct translation of the number of gold stars in the Dragon's Eye constellation representing Rofirein. In most instances, these justiciar's are responsible for overseeing the Divine Court for their areas.
Guardians of Justice -- Magistrars -- Protectors of Justice
Guardians of Justice are clerics that are responsible for and specialize in the law as decreed by the Divine Court. Magistrars are always made up of the clerics who spend several years further study in all aspects of the law. These clerics are always attached to a local courthouse or place of law where guidance and wisdom is required. It is from the ranks of these specially trained men and women that the residing judges of the Divine Court are selected. While some clerics actively engage in this mission, others lean toward the protection aspect of service to the Lord Protector and take up title and roles of Protectors of Justice. Many Protectors of Justice become leaders in the temple guards or achieve ranks within the Knights of the Wyrm.

Protectors
The general ranks of the clergy are filled with protectors serving in various roles and positions across the order. Many serve in the offices of the Golden Voice, the Golden Triune, Keeper of the Lore of Gold, various temples across the world, offices of judges, law courts etc. Some may also hold positions within the Guardians of the Wyrm or the Knights of the Wyrm. Many laypeople are also rewarded with the title of protector.

Initiates
The first step of the Path of Rofirein is that of the initiate. All those chosen spend at least four years as an initiate, learning law and various others skills including basic combat, etiquette, diplomacy, honor, chivalry, and healing. On completion of this period of training, each successful initiate is presented with a shield bearing the symbol of Rofirein by the high justiciar during an appropriate ceremony.

Guardians of the Wyrm -- Temple Guards
Most temple guards are drawn from the ranks of fighters, rangers, and occasionally paladins. These souls have dedicated their lives to protecting the temples and other sacred places of the Rofireinite faith. They spend many years perfecting their combat technique, with special emphasis on use of the tower shield and defensive tactics. Some special few are selected to become marshalls for the Divine Court.

Knights of the Wyrm
The Knights of the Wyrm are the militant arm of the Faith of Rofirein. They were formed in response to the evil and lawlessness of the lands at a time of great struggle across the world and have existed to fight directly the battles of the Faith of the Lord Protector. In the late 500s under the stability and resurgence of the line of the Diamoniar Emperors in Dregar, the order was founded by the then Golden Voice of Justice with the blessing of the emperor. Many agreed that in a world of turmoil and suffering there was a great need for these knights to protect both the clergy who traveled afar and also those innocents beset by the evils of the world.
At the time, there lived a paladin who had shown great valor and bravery, living by the morals and goals of the Great Wyrm himself. Sir Drais Mordrin was well respected by all those who knew him, his deeds common knowledge throughout Dregar and his influence felt beyond. Ancient records within the Cathedral of Rofirein indicate that the high justicar believed that Rofirein himself had chosen the man to serve him and bequeathed his sword and shield with qualities that would help him vanquish his enemies and bring justice to the land. Perhaps, the most well known of the deeds of Sir Drais was a well-planned and organized attack on a temple of Pyrtechon that had secretly set itself up in Northern Dregar. In a move both bold and brave, he led his personal force of loyal Rofireinites, a score of battle-hardened clerics and fighters who had devoted themselves to his cause and the Lord Protector, into the heart of the enemies lair. Severely outnumbered and backed up only by their resolve and their belief in the Lord Rofirein, they fought their way into the heart of the temple. There they battled and defeated the high priest and his most loyal followers. Legend has it that it was the glowing blade of Sir Drais that smashed the large basalt statue of Pyrtechon to pieces with a single blow. Returning triumphant to Dregar, Sir Drais and his remaining men carried the head of the basalt dragon as tribute to the high justiciar of the Cathedral of Rofirein and the Emperor.

Not long after, Sir Drais and his followers were dubbed Knights of the Wyrm. Of course, there could be no other choice for the man to lead them but Sir Drais, and so he was granted the title and commission of Wyrm Commander. It is said that the night after Sir Drais was given the charter by the emperor and the high justiciar, he prayed and was visited by a servant of the Lord Protector himself. It was here that he was given divine approval for his future mission. The servant of Rofirein blessed him and gave him the oath with which to bond together the force of knights he was to create. From that moment forward, Sir Drais wasted no time, enlisting aid from warriors, clerics and others loyal to the Lord Protector. Sir Drais worked tirelessly and was benefited with the support of the emperor and the high justicar of one of the most powerful churches in the land; thus, as an order they grew rapidly. Their influence was felt in far-reaching places around the world: Alindor, Mistone, The Rohden Alliance, and to some extent Belinara and Voltrex. Knights rode to the aid of battered innocents, dispensed justice amongst the lawless, brought order to chaos, and brought hope and light to a world clouded in darkness. Even today lore masters, archaeologists, scholars, and adventurers stumble across small temples or shrines in remote regions around the globe, which stand as testimony to the vast territory they covered in their missions.

As an order, they were well respected for their combat, divine and even magical abilities, their faith, their adherence to the divine Law of Rofirein, and their devotion to the protection of the innocent. Most importantly, in places where the law had failed and justice had been driven away, they brought order and impartiality. They were generally welcomed in any good serving land that valued true justice. However, as with most things over time, their activities and fame also brought with it many enemies. Traveling Knights of the Wyrm would often find themselves targeted by servants of other faiths. None was more fanatical in their hatred of the Knights than the Pyrtechonites. Servants of this god took extreme pleasure in capturing, torturing, and murdering any Knights of the Wyrm that they could. With the collapse of the Diamoniar throne in 1123, the numbers of the knights were severely reduced through numerous battles defending the temples and clergy across Dregar and beyond. It was discussed by high-ranking clergy of the church that the order would have to be disbanded and the members enlisted back into the other orders of the church, especially into the Guardians of the Wyrm who the protectors felt had grown lax in their attention to martial duties. The high justiciar and other clergy also feared that the reputation of the Knights would bring more reprisals and uprisings from enemies established during the last 500 hundred years. It was a dark time in the life of the once bright and legendary Knights of the Wyrm. In the years that followed, thrones collapsed, their leaders wiped out, their outposts were overrun or destroyed. Many of their members were captured, tortured and killed.

As fate would have it, during times of great darkness there often rises from them those who radiate the light that holds the darkness at bay. So it came to be that from among the remaining knights there was a man who had formerly been a protector in the cathedral in Prantz itself and had attained the rank of section commander within the order. He had achieved his rank not so much through his combat abilities but through his powers of persuasion, his calmness, and the powerful faith he exuded. His section of knights still stood firm behind him while other sections wavered and had lost much of their hope. The leaders of the church recalled all knights to Dregar. Fearing that the clergy would disband the dishevelled order, Knight of the Wyrm Section Commander Sir Hadris Warden called to him every remaining leader within the Knights. A meeting took place by Corax Lake, which apparently lasted for several days before a decision was reached. They agreed that the leading clergy of the cathedral in Prantz were more afraid of facing danger themselves than standing up for what they preached to people every day in the name of the Lord Protector. Their fear was that in the clergy's ignorance they were going to disband the Knights.

Sir Hadris Warden used all his guile and skill to shame the other Wyrm leaders into standing firm to their oath. As a result, he was elected to the position of Wyrm Commander of the Knights, an honor he did not expect because he had merely set out to convince the commanders to unite and stand firm. Sir Hadris, inspired by his love and belief in the Lord Protector then led the famous procession of knights. All the Knights of the Wyrm that could be assembled rode in full ceremonial formation from Lor to the Cathedral in Prantz to face the clergy meeting within to decide their fate. Upon entering the city, the people, seeing the famous knights in full ceremonial array riding their magnificent horses through the streets of Prantz, felt a wave of inspiration and hope. More and more people gathered to shout encouragement and watch the brave knights, symbols of light and honor for so long, march to the cathedral. Emerging from within the cathedral at the sounds of the crowd outside, the senior clergy were faced with an assembled group of over 200 knights led by Sir Hadris as well as a crowd of several thousand onlookers cheering them on. There, before the great twin dragon statues, the clergy, many ashamed at their weakness of faith, could do nothing but agree that it was the will of Rofirein that the Knights of the Wyrm continue in their duties under Sir Hadris, and so it came to be. However, regardless of this, the knights were limited in numbers and both theirs and the clergy's power were greatly diminished for some time.

It was not until King Karem Waylend ascended to the throne in Prantz that the Cathedral of Rofirein began to resume some of its former power; in so doing, the Knights of the Wyrm could once again begin to rebuild. By the time the current high justiciar assumed his post in the Cathedral of Rofirein, the order itself was beginning to show signs of stability. The Golden Voice, recognizing the dangers facing the lands with Blood's return and following divine instructions, petitioned King Wayland for a new decree for the order. Seeing the value of a strong order of knights in the capital, the King agreed to the decree. While the decree re-invigorated the order, for some time, there has not been a Wyrm Commander or Chief Advisor appointed. Rather, the high justiciar of the Cathedral has been making determinations of actions and policy in discussion with the four Divisional Knight Commanders. However, after the taking of Prantz by Lord Rael, the reinvigoration has come to a halt again and the appointment of a new Wyrm Commander seems far off.

Temples

Bericht door hellspawn » 08-02-2011 22:07

Temples of Rofirein are a mixture of grand and humble affairs, often doubling as local courts and houses of justice. All temples maintain a library that holds documents of law and other books of factual interest, which are normally attended to by members of the Office of the Keeper. The largest place of law training for members of the faith is the Cathedral of Rofirein in Prantz. Once a magnificent edifice replete with the splendor and majesty of the law after the war in Prantz, it was reduced from its former glory and now is merely a Hall of Justice with court hearings and a law training facility. Larger temples outside Prantz are generally run by a high justiciar attended by a number of magistrars and protectors, servants of the Keepers office, and often serve as a temporary home for knights, marshalls and other attendees of the faith.
The Golden Voice of Justice who dwells within the Cathedral of Rofirein is the leader of the Faith of Rofirein. Seen as the advisor on the will of Rofirein, his words of wisdom guide the faith as they journey through the times of gathering darkness. The high justiciar of a temple is often the oldest and wisest of clerics, rumored to be in frequent direct contact with the Lord Protector himself. The local protectors are attached to one temple or church at a time and oversee the day-to-day tasks. They will never move far from their temples, except in times of crisis.

This is in contrast to the protectors, marshalls, and knights as they are mobile, traveling the length and breadth of Layonara to provide protection to those that cannot protect themselves. Bringing honor, justice, law, and order wherever they go. They are often turned to when wisdom or a non-biased opinion is needed, and some can operate in a judiciary role if required.

There is also a group of non-clergy; these lay followers of Rofirein are those who have not undergone the initiation into the clergy or paladinhood, and comprise all those employed for service by the temple itself. Stablehands, cooks, groundsmen, and the like some of which hope to serve Rofirein in a greater capacity someday.

Ruined Temple of Rofirein
In the year 1189, the Golden Voice of Justice signed a charter to create a new order of Rofireinite monks known as the Hands of the Golden Dragon. These men and women were mainly artisans and crafters that venerated Rofirein through great works of art, sculptures, beautiful script work, and designs. They studied the law and order in design and art and their creations were examples of their worship. Their works were highly sought after by all of the temples across the world dedicated to Rofirein as well as followers and adherents to the faith.

Their leader was formerly a Hammer of Dorand who had found the instructions of the Rofireinites more to his liking and taken up service with the faith. His wealth of knowledge and particular passion had drawn to him a following of those who shared in his ideas and loves.

When eventually the Golden Voice granted Jalur Grenaldus his charter, Jalur had already set about creating the ultimate gift of adoration to Rofirein. A beautiful temple was designed by him to be built in honor of the Lord Protector by him and his followers. Many of the Rofireinites never fully understood why Jalur chose the Wandering Dunes to build his temple. Some say it was his eccentric idea of how to try to bring order to a place that had none, that by building a temple to the Lord Protector it would magically prevent the desert from shifting anymore. A futile hope and one that was doomed from the start.

Other stories indicate that Jalur, regarded as somewhat of an eccentric zealot who had made a lot of money from his artworks, pestered the Golden Voice so much that he eventually gave him the charter and told him to build his temple in the shifting sands of the desert for all he cared. Alas, it seems Jalur took him literally.

Written records do not give much more information than these extracts supplied by the Rofirein Keepers Office in Prantz:
"On the receipt of the documents of charter, Jalur Grenaldus and his Hands of Rofirein turned their backs on those within the cathedral and left carrying many artworks and treasures to begin the long and arduous road of building a temple to the Lord Protector."

And further:
"This is the fifth demand in as many years from the leader of the Hands of Rofirein for even more funds for the building of what he terms is the greatest monument to the Lord Protector of the modern era. The Golden Voice newly elected to his position denied the request and declared that no more funds, supplies, or artisans were to be sent to the temple. It was considered too much of a drain on the cathedral's funds and the Dorandites had formerly requested that the builders, sculptures, and other artists and craftsmen they had sent to help with the construction be given leave to return to their own temples."

And finally:
"Those knights returned today after the Golden Voice sanctioned an expedition to discover what had become of the Hands of Rofirein after a raid on a cult to Pyrtechon in Audira discovered plans to destroy the Temple of Greater Glory that the Hands had been building for the last ten years. Their report was one of great sadness to the Golden Voice for they could not locate the temple nor any of those followers, craftsman, and their families that dwelt there."

That the structure was finished we know through people like Xora who describes the place as:
"Once a beautiful temple dedicated to Rofirein, you will find this temple far from what it was in its glory days. I believe it was corrupted by Bloodstone minions, but now it is likely occupied by somebody else, at least, for your sake, I hope. You will find the entrance to the temple in the Wandering Dunes beyond the Great Desert. But traveling the desert is no easy task."

The only other evidence that exists is rumors from desert tribesman who stumbled into a cave in the desert after a severe sandstorm that was filled with constructed creatures and terrifying undead. Perhaps the souls of the dead craftsman and followers of Jalur Grenaldus from so long ago?

One account worth mentioning is this from a desert wanderer:
"I came to this place, the sands were alive in the sky, the desert shifting, and I feared for my life. The armies of Blood were coming to the desert. I found a cave and hid within. Here, I found that it went back far and went deeper. I found it led into a chamber of such beauty I could not behold it. The floors were of polished white marble with pillars of obsidian to the golden etched roof. Around the nine pillars were magnificent solid gold dragons. I thought I had perhaps found what Blood's soldiers were searching for: a vast treasure chamber. I wandered through some more rooms each more wondrous than the last, then I saw the creatures. Creatures of iron and stone, I hid from them. Then, there was darkness and things within it that feed on the flesh of the living. I ran but I was lost. Finally, I came into a chamber that stole my breath from me in its beauty. In the middle was a huge statue of a dragon, and as I watched with my own eyes, tears of blood flowed from its eyes into a pool at its feet. I felt its sadness and I felt fear. Then I fled, I fled from that sad and lonely place."

Prayers & Holy Days

Bericht door hellspawn » 08-02-2011 22:07

Prayers

All clerics use a statue of a golden dragon as a focal point for worship and blessing. In temples, it is common practice for adherents to come to touch the statue of the great dragon and ask for guidance in difficult times. His clerics pray at least twice a day, both in the morning and in the evening. Their prayers are often straight and to the point when the path is already known. They often involve invoking particular aspects of the All-Seeing like the strength of their claws or the protection of their scales.

Holy Days

•Celebration of the Common Law
Each year a temple is nominated to have the honor of holding this celebration. It continues over a whole week and the temple hosts worshipers and those of the faith from around the world. An entire week of celebrations and activities is undertaken from legal debates, to hearings, to typical fair attractions for everyone to participate in with one of the biggest draw cards being the tournaments. It truly is a festive atmosphere. The entire week leads into the final day when the Charter of the Common Laws of Layonara are carried in honor through the streets of the city in which the celebration is taking place and then placed within the temple. Once there, under heavy guard, anyone and everyone can come and view the charter. These weeks often attract huge crowds of people not only for the festivities put on but for the simple chance to view the charter. For it is this charter, which has changed so many of their lives.

•Day of Arnuthen
Every year on this day, a special service is held in every temple, shrine, and abode of Rofirein around the world. Each person wears pure white robes and a symbol of the compass around their necks. During the service, clerics walk among the people and place a smear of mud over their heart and tear the left shoulder of their garment to symbolize the clothes worn by Arnuthen when he saved the people from the ancient enemy. Once that part of the service is done, people come forward to receive the blessing of the high justiciar and are given a brand new robe to place over their ruined one to symbolize a new beginning offered by Rofirein. This day is considered to be one of the faith's most holy days.

•Vigil of the Dragon's Eye
Once every twenty-eight days, when Ausir reaches its peak in the night sky, Rofirein's most devout followers pray to the All-Seeing as the great silver moon seems to feed the constellation with power, making it grow bright in the night sky. This is a time for quiet prayers and remembrance of the Lord Protector's care and love for the people. On these days, clergy often go out into the homes of the common people and distribute coins, food, and whatever aid they can.
